Dave

My name is David Schrock:

I am one of the co-founders of Three Rivers Paranormal Research. I am a father of three girls and have been a soccer coach for the last 5 years.

Since I was a child, I have had an interest in the paranormal. Growing up I can remember experiencing things at friend's houses and at places we would go. I was always scared to talk to anyone about my experiences fearing that I would be made fun of or called crazy. I lived in a house on the west side of town just a few years ago that had a lot of activity. I would be sitting on the couch and would see things out of the corner of my eye moving from one room to the other. Also I would be in the basement and would hear someone walking in the rooms above me (I was the only person in the house).

I am a very open minded person but also a very detail orientated person. I am not one to just automatically say that a place is haunted. I go over every possibility to find alternate answers if none can be found and there is enough evidence to support the finding, then I will be able to say it is haunted.

My main goals in the paranormal are finding the answers to why things happen? Why are they here? Is there something we can do to help? My other goal is to give people the comfort of knowing that the team of Three Rivers Paranormal Research are here for you and will help you to the best of our capabilities. We will never judge you or make fun of you. We want you to know that you are not alone!!

Teri

Hi everyone, I'm Teri and the other co-founder of Three Rivers Paranormal Research (T.R.P.R). Currently I am a Graduate student of Psychology, and a certified Depossission practitioner. The last thirty plus years I have studied world religions and their relationship to everyday life, the main emphasis being on occult practices and witchcraft. Currently, researching how paranormal contact on a continued basis affects the family unit, and the impact of evp's on the social development of children. Do we always find places to be haunted? No, not always … but when we do we are well equipped to offer support and understanding for how your experiences are affecting you.

Amanda

Why, hello there. My name is Amanda. Margie is my mother and I have one sister and a brother. I love animals and nature, I love to be outside except when it's cold out. I'm a pretty crazy person, always having fun and making people laugh. In other words, I'm the entertainment for the group. I have had experience with the paranormal since I can remember. When I was 13, I had an experience with a ouiji board that I will have to live with the rest of my life. I am sensitive and am trying to develope my medium abilities.

Cindy

Hi, I'm Cindy, the grandma of the group. When not involved in an investigation or researching the paranormal, I enjoy spending time with my son and 3 granddaughters. The girls have all played soccer and it can get a little crazy when all three have a game on the same day. We enjoy doing projects together and watching movies.

I have always known there are things that just couldn't be explained away with science. While I believe there are beings that walk with us in our world, I don't believe every place we investigate is haunted. I think we all have experienced those moments when we just plain scare ourselves silly. Years ago, I read The Shining, while I was home alone and just couldn't shake the feeling that there was someone upstairs, in the bathroom.

As an investigator for Three Rivers Paranormal Research, I think part of our job is to distinguish between the real and the imagined. To try to find logical answers to those things that go bump in the night. And when there isn't a logical explanation, it is our job to find evidence to support the client's claims

Colin

My name is Colin and my main interest is demonology. Until recently I had spent most of my life in a very active haunted house. Still, I don't believe all houses are haunted though. I spend most of my free time studying angels and demons (no not the book) and investigation techniques. I look forward to traveling in the future to compare styles of haunting(s) by era and location.

Eric

Hello, my name is Eric Turner. I am a Professional Photographer and Web Master. Former professions include Mechanic, machinist, and IT Field Service Network Tech. I have been happily married 27 years with two children and two grand children. I am the geek and biggest skeptic of the group. I believe that most all paranormal experiences can be explained. Don’t get me wrong, I believe that people do have these experiences and they are real. I believe that what their experience can be explained logically or scientifically, if not now, perhaps in the future with better technology and discovery. After all, 300 years ago we were certain that we were the center of the universe and the sun rotated around the earth and only 250 years ago we thought the world was flat. We have come a long way with our knowledge and explorations, but we have a long way to go. I am a problem solver that enjoys a challenge and that is why I find paranormal research intriguing.

Katie

Hey my name is Katie. I have lived in Sioux City the whole 16 years I have been alive. I have had numerous paranormal experiences throughout my whole life.I am very sensitive to the paranormal world. I have yet to figure out how to control them and channel them.

My first experience I thought it was all fake, and I was seeing things. Then as I got older, I realized that not all people saw and felt the same things as I did. Recently I found out that teenagers are most sensitive, as well as Native Americans. So that explained a few things.

I joined Three Rivers Paranormal Research when it was founded. I joined in hopes of answering my many questions about the paranormal. I also joined out of curiosity, and after my first investigation, the adrenaline rush on finding something is amazing! I learned that the other people in our group also experience things almost all the time. I feel that I’m not alone in this confusing world. We are growing stronger in what we know and I hope we can continue for a long time.

Lawrence

My name is Lawrence Scofield; I am a father of two beautiful children, one boy one girl. Spending time with my family one of the greatest joys I have been blessed with. I love to do anything with graphics and web design as well as amateur photography. I also love to ride my motorcycle and spend time walking trails. I have been following the paranormal for about 4 years. Most of my studies have been on my own as well as following as many paranormal television shows. I was introduced to the Three Rivers Paranormal Research group in October of 2009. I am proud to be a member of the team and hope to extend my knowledge with the team. With the knowledge I gain I hope to help people believe, understand, and grasp the activity they may be experiencing.

Margie

Hi, my name is Margie.

I'm a mother of two girls, work full time as an office manager for a family owned business. In my off time, between investigations, I do some craft work on wood and glass, candle work, and studing the occult. I enjoy camping and fishing.

I have lived with paranormal activity all of my life, from my grandparents walking through the house in the middle of the night to things going bump in the night, doors opening and closing, to an actual apparition caught on film, voices at all hours of the day and night, and phantom smells.

Maria

Hello. My name is Maria and I am a lifelong resident of Sioux City. I am the mother of 2 girls whom I enjoy spending as much time with as I can. I am a teacher and a part time belly dancer who plans on returning to school in the fall. I have been afflicted with paranormal experiences my whole life and as a child I was afraid to tell anyone about them. As I grew older the paranormal was viewed as taboo, so I tried to dismiss it all as coincidental circumstances, though I always knew differently.

I have always been sensitive to energies around me. I can feel the “emotions” . I will feel a range of things from sudden strange elation to deep dark sorrow. I have been particularly sensitive to negative energy. I am still trying to figure out how to use this high sixth sense, and understand why I am so sensitive to negative, or bad, energies.

Now I have two children, both of which have had paranormal experiences themselves. My teenage daughter is particularly sensitive and does not know how to control or channel her abilities. As a mother I never ignored it or told them it was their imagination. But I didn’t have a clue what to do about it.

Now there are more people coming out with various ranges of experiences and abilities. Since I have shut it all out, the paranormal field is all new to me. I didn’t know where to start or where to turn for questions, problems, or the sake of pure curiosity. I joined Three Rivers Paranormal Research when it was first founded. I saw this as an opportunity to seek the answers I am looking for and to be with others who have themselves experienced things paranormal, or inexplicable. Being a part of this team has already taught me a lot of things, and I view this as a continual learning process for all of us.

Marty

Hello my name is Marty I am one of those people who always thought something could be out there, but I will have to see it up front to believe it. Admittedly, there has been some strange occurrence in my life but I am not ready to sign off on them all being paranormal. I am the first person to say I need more evidence before I believe. Working with Three Rivers Paranormal Research, when there are questionable findings we first look at how they can be duplicated, and if duplication will disprove the findings.
